Demonstrators gathered exterior the Russian Embassy early Thursday, shortly after information broke that Russian had launched its anticipated invasion of Ukraine, CBS Washington, D.C. affiliate WUSA-TV studies.

A small group was seen exterior the constructing holding Ukrainian flags.

They advised WUSA they'd rushed to the embassy to attempt to get extra details about the invasion and to assist one another.

The demonstrators dispersed earlier than dawn, however mentioned they plan to proceed their protest exterior the White Home Thursday afternoon.
